Ron Ng and Charmaine Sheh have had alot of rumors recently. But earlier Benny Chan accepted i-cable channel’s TV interview revealing his previous relationship stating “He is waiting for his old love to return and continue their relationship.” Also Toby Leung who has had previous rumors with Ron has been drawn into it, as it was claimed she was going to compete with Charmaine. It seemed it was confusingly becoming a relationship involving 4 people. A magazine reported that Toby revealed she was dating Ron in her Facebook account. But Ron and Toby clarified yesterday that someone was making false statements and spreading it across the internet.

The reports stated that Toby and Ron had previously paired up together in 2 TV series portraying lovers as well as husband and wife. This led them to create sparks with each other. But Ron’s rumored girlfriend had changed to Charmaine Sheh recently. Although, the reports claimed Toby didn’t mind, her face book account revealed that she was dating Ron and there were also some intimate pictures posted.

Yesterday Toby clarified that she was confused about the reports because she had never signed up on Facebook. Her Management said ” The person who is claiming to be Toby on Facebook had been using Toby’s Yahoo Blog information and posted the same blog pictures on Facebook. Toby has never had a Facebook account because she has always felt there are too many fake people on the internet. She doesn’t know their real identities and not sure whether they are her friends. That is why she will not open a Facebook account. Toby does not know who is claiming to be her and it will be difficult to do anything about it”.

Ron expressed that he had received a SMS from Toby explaining the Facebook rumors. He said” Toby said that the Facebook account was Fake, I can understand because I have also experienced someone opening a Facebook account and posting my pictures claiming they were me. I had to warn my friends about it so they won’t get fooled. ” Ron explained that he knew Toby before she was in the industry and the pictures reported as intimate were just from TV series. He says “The reports about the relationship involving 4 people is just a laughable joke.”

Model-turned-actor Lee Eon (also spelled Lee Un, most famously of Coffee Prince) has died in a motorcycle accident.

The 27-year-old, born Park Sang-min, was on his way home following the wrap party for KBS’s Strongest Chil Woo early on the morning of August 21. He was riding a motorcycle and ran into the guardrail of the overpass, and is said to have died almost immediately.

Louis Koo did not hesitate to film w/ Liu Ye on a mountain, suffering from a freezing “1 degree celsius” cold weather. After they have finished filming the ‘chasing’ scene in a freezing weather, their speech became ‘unclear’.

Louis Koo, Da S, and Liu Ye play the lead roles in the remake of the Hollywood movie “Cellular”. The movie is set to premiere on September 25. In the movie, Liu Ye has to chase down and kill Louis Koo under the bone-chilling weather. Because it was too cold, the part where Louis has to send a telegram to the villain Liu Ye, their speech were unclear. The production crew and actors had to go up to the mountain to film the scene.

The Sankei Shimbun paper has posted the first poster from the Dragonball live-action film that features a main character on Friday. The poster portrays Canadian actor Justin Chatwin (War of the Worlds, The Invisible, Lost television series), who stars as Son Goku, in his familiar orange gi martial arts uniform complete with the kanji for kame (”turtle” for his mentor Master Roshi or Kame Sennin) on the back. Just as in the previous teaser poster, the new poster’s Japanese text reads when translated: “The legend comes to life.” The new poster also adds the following text: “Opens worldwide at maximum speed on March 13, 2009.”

Twentieth Century Fox signed director James Wong (Final Destination, X-Files television series, The One) to adapt Akira Toriyama’s shonen fighting manga. Viz Media publishes the original manga in North America, while Funimation distributes the anime version.

With “So Hot” still enjoying immense popularity now, a follow-up single is already on the cards? Even being too popular doesn’t really seem to be a good thing for the Wonder Girls. At the same time as “So Hot” is enjoying popularity with everyone, the Wonder Girls are burdened by the beautiful dilemma and pressure of having a successful follow-up single in the near future.

Just like it’s name “So Hot”, it has swiftly strike a rapport with everyone, just one week into it’s comeback, it had already grab the #1 spot in the various gayo shows. It was first on KBS Music Bank for four consecutive weeks and was Mutizen winner on SBS Inkigayo for three straight weeks (maximum is 3).

Because of it’s continued dominance on the charts, the tv stations (KBS and SBS) felt sorry for the other singers because they would have to keep giving the #1 trophy to the Wonder Girls if they continue to promote “So Hot”. There are thus many questions about the Wonder Girls follow-up single.

According to one PD, “We never would have predicted how popular this song (So Hot) would become, we were flustered seeing it’s success.”

Following the success of “Tell Me” last year, the Wonder Girls had prepared for their comeback this year with their “So Hot” mini album for quite some time. Besides “So Hot”, it also included a ballad track “This Time” and dance track “You’re Out”. “This Time” which was performed concurrently with “So Hot” during their comeback stages proved to be very popular with their fans. They had considered using this as their follow-up single but decided to give it up after considering that it didn’t go well with their overall image concept.

In it’s place, they have decided to use the remix version of “So Hot” as their follow-up for the time being while preparing for their new album! Their second album is expected to be out in late September and carry on the momentum.

According to JYP Entertainment, “We haven’t decided on the concept of the new album. Just like how Wonder Girls has always been setting the latest trends, we intend to prepare for this in earnest to repay the fans anticipation for it.”

No communication, love has faded: Gallen Lo announced divorce

There was a rumour back in 2001 that Gallen Lo had marital problems. But nothing happened. After 7 years, it finally happened. Yesterday, Gallen told the media that his 10 years marriage with his wife has ended in divorce. They were separated earlier on last year. Recently got divorced. They are still in friendly terms. Their son will be living with his wife. He himself will take the responsibilities to provide for them. Gallen stressed that there is not a 3rd person involved. Ex wife Fong Man Yee also said it was a relief.

Gallen and his ex wife had known each other for 28 years. They had worked together on television. One worked in front of the screen and the other in the background. They had gone through a lot together. Years ago, there were rumours that Gallen and Jessica Hsuen were having affairs. But Gallen chose to marry Fong Man Yee. They had a son and the three of them were happy. Recently Gallen has been going back and forth to mainland China. The pair had very little communication. They were drifted apart .

Gallen disclosed ” Communication is the biggest problem. We don’t have a subject to talk about. On top of that I am a loner, my son and I play separately. Even when we are at home, we hardly speak to each other. We don’t even argue, one way of communication. We keep ourselves to ourselves. We live separate lives. If there is no communication, do we still want to carry on for the next 10 years. We didn’t want it to happen”

Still good friends

Is there a 3rd person? ” Of course not, we discussed about divorce back in 2001, but it didn’t happen. Last year, we separated, one year on, we sat down and talked. We we divorced in good terms. We only signed the paper the other day.”

The divorce was amicable, Gallen praised his ex wife of being a good daughter-in-law, a good mother and a good wife. It was fate. He was more worried about his son getting affected. His son would live with her. He hasn’t got time to look after him anyway because he has to work in mainland China a lot. He is hoping that mother and son would be happy together.

Fong Man Yee reckons divorce is a relief for her. After the two had split up, their relationship had improved. She still cares about him asking him not to drink too much and to look after his own health. They are still friends.

Learning English for future overseas performances…Ye Eun’s vocabulary is excellent while Sun Mi’s pronunciation is the best among the Wonder Girls.

The above-mentioned remarks came from their english tuition teacher who had been offering 24 hours lessons for them in a “passionate manner” since the beginning of May to prepare them for their overseas expansion. Once the Wonder Girls are back in their dorm, they would be conversing as much as possible in english and also try to use it in their daily lifestyle.

In order to express their own thoughts through interviews with overseas media, they are undergoing extra lessons in their free time. So how is their english language ability now? Well, each have their own strengths and weaknesses as they learn the language through “competition”.

Their tuition teacher expressed:
Each has their own personality and have different areas which they are stronger in with regards to the english language. Compared to the rest, Ye Eun has a wider range of vocabulary and can construct a beautiful sentence easily. Sun Ye meanwhile has a good basic foundation and is good in grammar.

Since Yoo Bin has lived in America before, the general review is that her pronounciation and accent are excellent even close to native speaker’s.

To gauge their progress, the members are tested on 400 english words weekly. If they get less than 80% of the words correct, they are required to write those wrong words for 100 times each. But no member has suffered that fate yet. Because of their hectic schedule, the Wonder Girls can only start revising and work even harder to learn the words when the test date draws near.

According to JYPE, “Since their return from America in March, the Wonder Girls have recognized the importance of them knowing English well enough in order for them to expand into overseas markets. Their passion for learning English has thus increased and the competition between them to do better than each other has only served to raise their level up a notch.”
