I know HP printers and other printers do this, ruin past software so people are forced to upgrade.

I feel some people may buy another brand of printer if the printer maker releases poor quality software.

I believe more people have started to buy epson and brother printers for still being good.

I think a lot of people buy canon printers as well.

They were also in decline, and way too expensive in ink due to photo usage.

I think Canon ink may also have too many sizes and formats which can confuse some users.

They can be over sized, even for a small printer, when they die, its too hard to fix :(
