Youtube video downloads

Youtube video downloads.? OK so i downloaded 2 different programs that you can type a youtube link into and supposedly they take the video and download it onto ur comp. one ( the only one i still have ) is called VDOWNLOADER and its basically just a tool used to rip youtube vids.
