I doubt it, if they do it's some small name one. The others got greedy.

I think some paid antivirus may recommend their free antivirus which has very basic features, and tries to convince you to subscribe to the paid antivirus again.

Oh I had to sell and manage AV for a few years, they never recommend free.

I feel paid antivirus can recommend a more affordable version of their antivirus if they don't recommend free.

They can, but also trick you into instant renewal fee.

Many, as they don't know better or just too old to see the rip off.
