Do you ever think that pentium processors will be discontinued?

I feel the Pentium brand name is still useful for average computer users who want a CPU which is faster than an Intel Celeron, but don't want to spend more money for an Intel i3 which usually cost more than a Pentium.

usually the i3 doesn't cost more, no more than $100 which is worth the money.

I agree the i3 is worth the extra money. The AMD Ryzen 3 CPU maybe worth it as well since AMD has better onboard video.

If you mainly use your computer for basic tasks like Power Point slideshows, a Pentium maybe good enough for basic tasks, and you save some money.

Pentium can't run nothing but browsers, helped one person with a two year old Pentium and could barely run windows media player.

I feel some newer browsers like Chrome and Microsoft Edge may have slowdown problems if Pentium can barely run Windows Media Player. I prefer third-party video players like Windows Media Player Classic and VLC Player.

Since the i9 is coming out, I see no reason why i3 can't be priced like a Pentium is.
