Maybe the i9 would be useful for running large database programs and files, and web servers where a lot of traffic to a website can slowdown or crash a website.

I suppose it would be great for web server type processing. Though I always thought that was more in the RAM?

I think some web servers host many big websites, and some online web streaming games like Google Stadia and web programs like web mail and online office suites can use a lot of CPU and RAM when a lot of people use them at the same time on the same server.

I know they do from my experience with web hosting, though I thought I read somewhere they have their own dedicated processor that most market PCs won't have.

I think it is the Intel Xeon CPU which is mostly use for servers.

But, there are maybe some people who use Intel desktop CPU like i7 or i9 to run Windows Server OS and Linux UNIX Server OS because it is more easier to find a computer with a desktop CPU like i7 at a local computer store.

I can see a home user wanting to run a sever would make the most use of an i9 cpu.
