Microsoft trying to compete with Google & Yahoo

Post by froggyboy604 »

Microsoft is now trying to compete with Google and Yahoo in the Search Engine world. Microsoft is building huge database centers up around the United States to help try to compete with Google and Yahoo's Search Engines.

Microsoft's newest database center is going to be located in Northlake, IL about 30 minutes west of Chicago, IL. This database center is going to be a third of its kind for Microsoft. This building is going to be about 8 football fields in length as well as it will cost Microsoft about $500 million dollars to build. Microsoft has picked Northlake, IL for a number of reasons not only does it have a good open are for the build, but also has a good amount of energy coming into the town.

Bill Gates was in town on Tuesday, November 6 to talk with the board and the fire department to clarify such regulations. As well as it was said that
Microsoft will be paying Northlake about $1.5 million dollars a month for housing this huge database center.

As this is going to help Northlake as well as Microsoft in becoming bigger. To add the the huge $500 million dollar database center, Northlake has also been improving tremendously in housing, including the new condominiums being built.

Very interesting if you ask me how Microsoft is actually trying to compete with Google & Yahoo when Google already pretty much owns the internet
