I am not sure, but a lot of people say don`t mess with the registry since if you don`t know what you are doing , you can really mess up your system.

if you use a crap one you can do more harm than good


if you use one that has a proven track record then you should be fine, i defrag my registry about once a month and clean it weekly with ferrets and minkeys,
I never really understood Thursdays.

Like the ones that are heavily advertised by using pop up ads, and on random websites?

The registry cleaner on CCleaner seem pretty good.

yea is okay, but it misses heaps

the one by Yamicsoft in Windows XP/Vista manager is better on XP at least


generally if it's ad is deceptive it's bundled with adware, if the ad is heavily spammed that should ring alarm gongs
