Some people say that a computer can catch fire if the powersupply or anyother high wattage device like a CPU, Gaming Video Card malfunctions it can catch fire, so people should have a fire extinguiser that can put out an active electricity fire.
I say it does not hurt to have a fire extinguiser capable of putting out electrical fires since they cost only about $20 dollars or less for a small one which cost less then a home which is usually $200,000 and up. If you are lucky you might be able to save some parts, or data. Plus, the fire extinguiser can be used to put out other fires if it is a class ABC extinguiser.
Does this also mean people should carry around a small fire extinguiser with their laptop since if someone laptops overheats and catch on fire at a a person's house.
The person who owns the house might sue for damages or emotional distress if the burnt laptop owner burns their house.
Is it important to have a fire extinguiser in your computer room?

There are Small fire extinguiser and they are not too heavy. It is recommended to hava a fire extinguiser in your car's trunk, so if your engine parts, or interior catches on fire you can put it out, so it would not hurt to have a fire extinguiser with you most of the time. Most buildings have sprinklers, and fire extinguisers. If your outside, someone can just put you out with a hose or poor sand on you.

that would make people stupid carrying around fire extinguishers. I'm saying just have one laying around or mounted on a wall near a machine or something that has a high chance of catching on fire.SetoTK wrote:so what your saying is everyone should carry there own fire extinguisher? well i agree there, as everything is combustable espceially with the right amount of accelerant

i was attempting humour my apologies if i aimed to high, though to be fair if you use the correct accelerant EVERYTHING has a high chance of catching on fire.Skeithex wrote:that would make people stupid carrying around fire extinguishers.
