Yes, I find those CD and DVD that come with textbooks, magazines, and books are quite useful since they contain instructional video, and free demos like practice quizs, tutorials, powerpoint presentations, and objectives and learning outcomes for the book.

Gaming mags also come with nice Game Demos on the CD mostly for the PC.
