Errr, I'm not sure. I see those commercials for software which said buy this software to learn a different language like Japanese,etc. It is used by big corporations.

I have no idea what is best software to learn Japanese from but whatever is the best is what I would get.

I personally just get a few audio books and DVDs on learning Japanese since it will probably be cheaper. I learned a few Japanese phrases from subbed Anime. Watching sub anime is a decent way for learning simple phrases like "cute, hello, goodbye, etc.

Google Translate and online translation programs are not very helpful for learning word by word translations sometimes.

I have learned a little Japanese from animes like naruto and FMA.
