This is why I prefer controllers like Wiimote and 360 controller, Digital Cameras, and other electronics which use regular AA batteries since there is more competition in the AA rechargeable battery market like Duracell, Energizer,Rayovac, Sanyo, Panasonic, so AA rechargeable batteries are cheaper since there is always a cheaper alternative unlike those proprietary batteries which comes with Cellphones, laptops, and PS3 controllers since once they break or leak. You have to spend so much money to buy a new battery.
they may be indeed cheaper but you will have to replace them more often and sooner or later they will cost more then the PS3 controller type batteries.

I been using the same rechargeable Energizer AA batteries on a daily basis for my Game boy Advance, Xbox wireless controller, portable CD player, clocks, digicam and other devices which accept AA batteries for over 4 years after a hundred or more of recharges and the batteries and chargers still work great and the batteries came with a charger made by Energizer which cost 25 dollars

The batteries only cost 20 bucks for an 8 pack of rechargeable on Amazon or Ebay.

AA rechargeable Battery have improve a lot in the last few years as long as you buy them from decent brands like Duracell, Energizer, Sanyo, Sony, and Panasonic.

The Sony PS3 controlle's battery is not cheap at 14.95 compared to AA rechargeable which cost 5 dollars for two. Plus, you know how to replace it if you do not. You need to buy a new controller.

Indeed, I never have to leave the house as much to get batteries for my remote controls which is a great thing.

It is strange that Energizer and Duracell don't really advertised their rechargeable battery brand compared to their disposable batteries.

I think they want you spend more in the long run by constantly replacing batteries by buying their disposable alkaline batteries which are a rip off, but don't want their competitors like Sony, Sanyo and Panasonic to make all the money in the rechargeable battery business.

what fools advertise something that will make them lose money in the long run? But I will see if wal-mart will have a good price on these.
