Netflix announced its streaming movie service is launching in Canada for PlayStation 3 today.
Canadian users can now watch an unlimited amount of movies and TV episodes for $7.99 a month. They will not be required to insert the instant-streaming Netflix disc, and instead access the service directly through PS3's cross media bar. Netflix will soon be launching a French language option, too.
PS3 Netflix users in the United States will have to continue using the disc until next month when the instant-streaming application launches.

I don't get why they didn't do this from the start.

I'm also afraid they raise the price slowly or quickly sort of like those DVD mail order companies which start up being a good deal, and slowly they raise the price of subscription with hidden fees, and regular fees. Plus, they make it so difficult to un-subscribe since they might beg for you to stay, or say you need to fax them your birth certificate, and other ID to make sure it is you.
I use NetFlix if it was a Pre-paid service like you can pay for a card to use for a month and stop by not buying anymore prepaid cards
