iPods have a failure rate of less than 5 percentApple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris has confirmed to iLounge that she was misquoted in a Chicago Tribune article on failing iPods published earlier this week. The article had quoted her as saying that iPods have a low failure rate and that they are designed to last four years. Kerris said she told the reporter that the iPod was designed to last "for years"--not "four years." The Tribune has yet to correct its original report.

I dont know what's wrost having a ipod that last 4 years and having a really bad time using it, or having apple making claims that are kind of unproven becuase anything can last for 4 years if you dont use it much like 1/2 hour each day for 4 years. they should of use hours like 50,000 hours instead of years. I heard their battery becomes bad after awhile.
