Do you use any kind of ad blocking software for your devices for viewing online stuff?

I use two myself, I know you can use something on your PC itself that reaches out and blocks sites as well.

I think it is possible to use a third-party DNS server which sometimes Block ad DNS servers.

from people I know, they recommend Hostsmanager, where you copy in a known list of bad sites to be blocked.

Spybot and Spywareblaster has a tool for adding spyware sites to block with the Host file in Windows.

Some firewall software, parental control website monitoring software, and routers also let you block sites.

if I remember right though, websites can somehow get around basic parental control settings.
