Are you more likely to try free downloaable games?
Yes, I am more likely to try free downloadable games because I don't need to spend money on them, or go to a store like Gamestop, Bestbuy, and Ebworld to look for a booth to play the game.

depends on the source, if its some random game then it is more than likely a virus.

Well that mostly depends on your source as chances of being caught are basically 0. Can you trust the website you're downloading from? Did you use it before, was it fine or did you have issues? It's hard to know, you can easily catch a virus. If you're lucky you'll install that free trial of premium ESET and cleanup, if you're unlucky you open a doorway to some asshole that will mess with you, then block your PC and ask for money, and then instead of unblocking it deleting system 32 because he can. So yes it is entirely safe, if you know who you're downloading from.
