Huh, didn't realize Linux could really get a virus, good to know that AV covers it.

I think there are very few viruses for Linux which you can get by manually installing trojan horse virus in Linux.

Most linux stuff installed is done by command line, guess making a typo can cause a virus to download instead?

There is a chance that a web server storing a program or game got hacked, and the program got replace with a Linux virus with a similar name.

Well people would just host their own viruses with close related words to be triggered.

I imagine there would be some virus makers who make custom versions of free Linux software like instant messangers, and hide a virus in the program, so they can record people's webcam images.

Some Linux operatimg systems like Ubuntu makes it possible to install a program easier from a installer file, so people may accidentally install malware by opening a fake installer file.

Guess they could make GUI like programs since Ubuntu comes with a windows like desktop feature.
