Re: Purchasing parts
I imagine Thermal tape could be a better option for people who have a hand disability which make it harder or impossible for them to use the needle tool for applying thermal paste, and they find cutting tape easier.

I believe paste comes in all forms, to make it easier to handle. You can't have it spilling onto the machine.

Re: Purchasing parts
I think some thermal paste may not damage computer hardware if the thermal paste does not contain water or metal ingredients.

Re: Purchasing parts
If it ends up in a moving part like the fan, it will damage it for sure, why it is important to dust parts out.

Re: Purchasing parts
I am concern that the thermal paste smell may attract insects if the thermal paste is spilled on the motherboard , and computer parts,

Re: Purchasing parts
I don't think it has a smell or attracts anything, unless you use a cheap 3rd party brand.

Re: Purchasing parts
I imagine some thermal paste may contain ingredients that are not harmful to insects, so insects may eat the thermal paste if they are very hungry.
