It wasn't good to use those things back then, but it was what we grew up on and kind of miss it now.

I think a lot of people multitask back in the past on slower computers with 64MB to 128 MB of RAM, and 300 MHz CPU, so programs like ICQ had to be more basic, so people can run Internet Explorer, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Windows Media player at once on a slower PC.

That is true. There used to be video cards with 1MB of RAM, and can barely play low quality video.
Unfortunately, bloatware which come with pre-built computers and the Operating System can make a PC feel slower.

It's why I always wipe my PC when I get them to get rid of all the bloatware.

Unfortunately, some Operating Systems are coming with features like Artificial Intellegence/AI which is difficult to fully remove.

Nearly impossible to remove really, I've tried and they are too baked into the OS to take out.
