I bet, some crowd funding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo may also have rules to ban overly low quality sites from using crowdfunding sites to raise money.

They usually do, you can't let such sites become abundant.

A lot of the people who use crowdfunding sites are more tech savvy than many people. It is harder for companies to convince members to pledge money to products which look low quality. Some of the crowdfunding members are tech reporters who will point out problems with the device if they find problems with a new device.

I imagine it would be hard for some crowdfunding projects to meet the demand because sometimes people need to wait a long time to get the finish product, and another company may copy their product, and make some changes to try to avoid getting sued.

True, it is a gamble, many times it doesn't pay off but sometimes it pays off and great things are made and learned.

I think crowdfunding projects could help people find other with similar interest and tech skills if the crowdfunding site have forums for people to posts about the crowdfunded products.
