It is probably best to do tape backups at night or over the weekend every week if users need to backup often.

Every weekend I run tape back ups while disk backups run during the week, its a process in order to keep the malware off of our data.

I feel one of the advantages of Tape drives is that the tapes have fewer parts like micro chips and hard drive disc and heads which can break over time or some random accident or disaster like a large earth quake which may more likely break a SSD or hard drive if one of the parts became loose or cracked after a large earthquake.

They actually break pretty easily if dropped, they really got to be handled carefully.

Maybe using a very soft carpet flooring can protect a tape drive from drops to the floor.

Can't have carpet in the server room, too much risk of static damage.

I think there is anti-static foam pads which may work at protecting electronics from being dropped.
