Those pieces have gotten cheaper but can still cost a lot if you need to get a bunch.

I think Ethernet Switches maybe harder to find for average consumers, and sometimes people end up buying a hub which is simpler, but can't share one ISP IP address with many computers.

Most ISP don't give out more than one IP, as most use extra to host servers that may be illegal or contain viruses.

I think there is also a limit on I.P. Version 4 I.P.s, so ISP need to not give out all their IPs to prevent reaching the limit of IP V4 ips.
A lot of virus makers may use a VPN to hide their identity, or make their connection more trustworthy looking by using an American IP address.

IPV6 is still releasing and coming out, I notice not everything likes it.

I think older operating systems and devices may not like IPV6.

I don't think they do or W11 for that fact.
