Now MTV is about reality shows about musicians and actors lives like cribs, or spoiled young people who want to be famous. MTV is more about the rockstar life styles of meeting hot chicks or dudes, going to parties with all the popular people, getting drunk, and being spoiled all day long. MTV doesn't really represent the music anymore.

Girilicious is just a bunch of girls dressed as sluts prancing around wearing nothing.

I wonder how Girlicious keep their fan base when Girlicious is older since they probably won't look the same after 10-20 years or less.

Like every other reality show based boy/girl groups. They have their 15 minutes of fame and die off. Just like O town, what ever happened to them..

O-town disbanded during 2003. Most members are doing solo projects. They had 3 years of being a band (2000-2003), so they were longer then some bands.

I notice singing groups from TV shows don't last that long like O-town, Edens Crush, etc compared to some solo singers from American Idol like Kelly Clarkson, Katharine McPhee, Carrie Underwood, Jordan Sparks, William Hung (didn't even qualified, but became famous anyways).

I guest either judges are better at picking contestants on American idol or the singing Groups don't get along with fellow group members.

well even the Canadian/American idols had their share of fame. Kelly Clarkson is no where to be seen, Ashely Osbourne, ehh...
Ruben Studdard is MIA, Clay Aiken on the other hand still appears once and awhile. Jordan Sparks is still new so that's why she still has her time to shine.

I caught some of her show when I was on vacation.. I was impressed that she sent the virgin home.. instead of deflowering her for the sake of ratings.. but the book is a good idea I suppose..

What I am most amazed by is how much both MTV and VH1 have changed since the 90's.. back then it was actually more about music, and less about reality shows.. nowadays, it seems like the exact opposite..

Funny how times change eh?
