My parents also don't know what I do online since when I talk about the internet they are not that interested in the net. They just care about me sending e-mails to distant relatives or companies that are famous online like Google.

I don't have any friends ...
nah i used to seperate them as much as I could since my friends back in school weren't that much interested in the same thing (online) as I was so there was actually no real need to hide anything.
But I learned your online "life" can become quite irritating or bothersome if you are careless enough to use your real name, like everywhere. Since I am around the net for like 8 years now there is quite some evidence around :D god bless many website data crashes
it can get really weird and embarissing if your new working colleagues start to google you ....
btw that QQ thingy looks interesting! gotta check it out.

I find as I get older I don't really care if people know about my online life since I don't do any embarrassing things like bully people online, post dumb pictures and videos of myself, download illegal adult pictures, or scam people online.
The most people find out about me is I own two websites, like anime, video games, drawing, and computers.
I think most people fear the Music and Movie industry hire a lawyer to sue them for illegally downloading pirated songs and video.

I keep them away from my real life. If someone is asking me what I am doing if I am on my computer I would not lie but I would not bring it up in a conversation. If I am with someone in real life I want to talk about real stuff.
