I probably just stick to older consoles till there is a price drop.
I think over time consoles will cost less since many average price PC are able to play many 3D and HD based games for the PC, so people might just stick to what is cheapest which will be the PC if console makers are pricing their consoles so high.
Onlive cloud gaming might have more popularity since it can stream onlive PC games to your PC in HD.
Plus, Onlive Game console is also a lot cheaper at $99.99 . http://www.onlive.com/game-system

I try to stick to older consoles for awhile till the newer ones become cheap but it's hard when your favorite series comes out on it.

Hopefully, some of my favourite console games in the future come out on PC, so I can play them while I wait for the price of regular consoles to drop.
I most likely just play newer PC game, or just use Onlive Cloud Streaming which works pretty well on my internet connection to play some games.

I'm starting to play more PC games since it is more convenient since I'm on the PC anyways, and playing a game is simple. All I need to do is just click on a shortcut on my desktop to start a game. Plus, the games are a lot cheaper most of the time, and there is more selection of games both online and offline.

that is true, but I rather not clutter my PC with games and I don't always have access to it.

Indeed, but computers have bigger hard drives these days, so you can probably install many games on newer computers before it gets full, and you can always install a second, third, or more hard drives in one computer. You can even use an external hard drive to install more games on an external drive.
The same could be said for consoles we don't always have access to them.
