I kind of wish there was a third one, to balance them out and make them produce better stuff.

There were VIA CPU, but I think they are a lot slower, and no longer being sold.

Never heard of them, safe to say they are no longer around. Sadly a lot of good makers like emachines is no longer around.

I read on Wikipedia that VIA now makes Chinese CPUs called Zhaoxin for mainly China. But, the performance of Zhaoxin CPUs are not good for gaming.
eMachine got bought by Acer when Acer bought Gateway which also owns eMachine, and Acer discontnues eMachine in 2013.

Acer killed that brand than, most of their pcs and monitors are meh to sub par

I heard Acer's gaming computers were decent, but more people seem to complain more about their regular computers.

They are decent at first, but wear out quickly, seen a lot of acers burn out.
