I imagine it can be scary using or being close to a device like a cell phone and laptop where there have been reported battery fires.

Yeah, hard to use that stuff knowing it could blow up or leak to make a person sick.

I saw on the news there are large battery fires from companies which use solar panels and Wind power to charge many batteries.

Never thought of solar batteries blowing up, but I could see that causing some issues.

I think it is mainly the lithium ion batteries which catch on fire and explode.

Yeah and they are everywhere, I feel kind of bad just throwing them away some days.

It is too bad that many places don't make it easier to recycle batteries.
