VPN do seem to be getting more popular. I feel more average people are using VPNs because their antivirus company like McAfee is convincing to users to subscribe to McAfee VPN service.

There maybe more VPN providers in the future. The slow and reliable VPNs will need to upgrade their servers, and networking equipment, so people don't switch to a more reliable VPN provider.

Other services are just including it with purchase like Norton, you don't have to use it but it is there waiting to be used. I don't use them because they seem to drag my internet to a slower speed.

Those VPN bundled software sometimes use up a little bit of storage space which can be annoying for users with less free storage.

Your ISP also maybe slowing down VPN connections, or the website is sending you to a server which is in another country or state where yoyr VPN is located.

I wouldn't be surprised, I notice some ISP are coming with VPNs, most likely a service deal from the VPN provider.

I feel some ISP may also own VPN companies or the boss bought a VPN company stocks on the Stock market, so they may speed up their own VPNs, and slow down other VPNs which they don't own.

I doubt it, most ISP wouldn't have the budget to make their own VPNs.

Some ISP may have a deal with Antivirus companies like McAfee which let ISP users use their antivirus for free, and ISP may not slow down McAfee VPN as much as long as they got a good deal on McAfee antivirus for their users.
