I imagine a lot of people don't want looters to be around their homes which are close to the datacenters. Some of the looters may also steal people's cars and bicycles, and heavy duty metal and plastic boxes, so they can carry the copper wiring which they stole from the datacenters.

Yeah, increased robbery makes a whole neighborhood look bad and drop home price values.

I feel it can also be dangerous if the looters also carry weapons while looting.

There is heatwaves across the USA, data centers would make it very hard for homes to keep getting the needed power to keep cool.
