I think there are some PC buyers may also prefer to pick and buy their own SSD storage drives to avoid getting a SSD drive from a less reliable brand.

Any ssd can be bad, had a customer once that swore off of them because they always kept getting bad ones.

I think SSDs maybe more likely to break from people bending them when they are being ship or installed on a PC . There are some thin SSDs which look like thin PCI cards which look like they are more likely to break if someone bends the SSD.

SSDs aren't as tough as HDDs, but I've never seen one bent before. Their packaging pretty much prevents that.

I imagine most SSDs from big brands will use a harder box to prevent a SSD from being damaged during shipping from people putting heavy packages ontop of the SSD package.

Nah, they all use plastic boxes with plastic holding cases. Never seen a high end one.
