I have seen the 4k images take up an insane amount of storage.

I wonder if some graphic designers save files in 4K, so they use more storage space which convince some buyers that 4K image files is worth a higher price than HD picture files.

I'm sure they do, the main part of their job is show the full scale of the image in all sizes.

I wonder how many average image buyers care about getting a 4K image file instead of a HD file since a lot of image files maybe shrunk down, so they load faster on a website.

Most don't care from my experience, unless they really want a good site in all resolutions.

I think as long as the image look good on a 1080P monitor and smartphone, a lot of image buyers may choose to buy the cheaper images which are not 4K size.

Some computers may also be too slow to edit 4K images, so some average image buyers may buy HD images because their PC is too slow to edit large image files.

you do need a recent high power PC to properly mess with 4k images and a monitor to show it.
