Not as much as chrome, google really needs to make it more pc friendly.

I think the newer versions of Chrome have a battery and Memory/RAM saving feature which may help slower PCs run Chrome without as many slowdown problems.

It doesn't do much and slows chrome to the point that people complain

I wonder if people install too many apps and extensions in Chrome which slow it down.

Not really, chrome is just a resource hog, which is why you need high end parts.

I think most modern web browsers thesedays may need highend parts if you use your web browser for playing web browser games with 3D graphics, and use websites which have video files embedded in them and the site is interactive like allowing members reply to posts with coments.

Lots of RAM and a good cpu helps keeps a browser from lagging a system.
