So long as there is no issues or the file isn't too large, it could cause issues.

At least, the cost of storage is more affordable these days, so people can backup many TBs of data for under $100 when using a 1TB hard drive.

True, HDDs are very cheap and SSDs are finally becoming affordable.

I read a tech blog article that hard drives will become faster in the future, so users don't have to wait as long to backup data which can be helpful if you back up a lot of big video files per day.

I doubt they could make disc hard drives faster, only the SSD types and beyond can become faster.

I think it may take many years before SSDs and hard drives are about the same speed.

They can never have the same speed, not possible for spinning disks to match ssd speeds.
