I feel having a more powerful power adapter can be useful for making it possible to add more features like a charging ports, monitor speakers, and a backup battery to a monitor without overloading the power adapter.

maybe one day, but right now they seem to like to limit such things.

I imagine they mainly use power adapters with less power because they cost less to make, and many people usually buy the cheapest monitor even if it has a ess powerful power adapter.

Honestly, it would be nice if a monitor ran off of sun light or strong light power source.

I read a tech post about a solar powered laptop, so it is possible to run a monitor off of solar power, but you need a large battery to charge with solar power. There are a few solar power car with large batteries to charge.

I think solar power may raise the price too much, and most buyers may more likely buy the cheaper device which uses a wall power adapter or charger to charge a battery on a laptop or electric car.
