It really is, we had a battery replacement at work be shipped only to receive pencils instead, it was funny but a pain to get them to send another.

Maybe custom made computer parts would be more popular in the future, so buyers can watch their computer part being made instead of buying it at a store, and hoping that their computer part is real, or wasn't replace with a worst computer part or something like pencils instead of the computer part.

I think if a friendly person made the computer part, some people may watch computer part being assembled, and talk about computer parts before building the computer part.

There are some lonely people who may look for new ways to meet people, and maybe interested in meeting a computer technician who can make them a custom one of a kind computer part after talking to them about the part they want.

A small circle gathering may partake, but most would rather just get their parts and start gaming.

I think most people may also rather get lower price parts which is mostly possible if the PC part is assembled in countries like Mexico, China, India, etc where the minimum worker wage is lower

Most tend to not go for cheap parts, as they will burn out easily enough.
