I feel not having a disc version of games and software may cause software, game, movie, and music companies to lose money if ISP start charging high prices for using bandwidth where it is cheaper to sell games and other content on a disc.

I doubt ISP will ever do that, most people need internet to pay stuff and get access to basic things these days.

I read an article online that Twitch had to stop streaming in South Korea because of expensive bandwidth and ISP fees where it is no longer profitable for Twitch to continue to do business in South Korea. I think bandwidth cost could rise in the future.

Which surprises me, since SE is always ahead in the tech world, they should have more affordable internet.

South Korea recently elected a conservative government party which is not as good for affordable internet bandwidth prices for companies like Twitch because the government did not stop internet service providers from charging high prices for bandwidth used by websites like Twitch, so Twitch can afford to stay in South Korea without losing a lot of money by paying expensive internet service fees.

Still surprised their government would restrict them like that though, specially with all the pc parts they make.

I read an article that Internet service providers now can charge more money when people visited non-Korean websites like Netflix and Twitch because of a new law where ISP need to charge a delivery fee every time someone in Korea views a site.
