There maybe Linux OS which come with the Java web browser plugin installed in Firefox. Some Linux users maybe stuck using a custom workplace Java program in a web browser if the programmer never remade the program to work on Windows or Linux without Java.

Not sure if it was ever made for Linux? Not much stuff was made for those OS back in the day.

People played Minecraft in Linux, so they are using the Java plug-in for their Linux compatible web browser.

I imagine not making Java compatible with Linux would cause Java to be less popular because a lot of computers and servers use Linux.

very true, but sometimes loading other pc parts could make it work like running it off of flash drive.

I think the Java plugin for web browsers may work on flash drives as well.
