I think some people may use Java to learn computer programming because there are still a lot of books on Java programming.

I heard Java is easier than other computer languages like C++. I think Java is also taught in some High school computer classes. I think Java does not require a very fast computer to make simple programs like a 2D game or Calculator, so Java maybe a popular computer programming language for many schools because many students have home computers which are fast enough to make Java programs, and run Java apps.

It is easier and the base of all coding, but you need to have a knack for it.

I think Java maybe one of the more popular computer programming languages where students can find a lot of beginners Java programming books, video tutorials on Java programming, and finding a local Java tutor to teach them the basics of Java, so a student can more likely pass their Java course compared to learning a computer programming language which has fewer worldwide users.

Only if they have a decent pc to compile the code, it's why a lot of students tend to sell off their PCs once done.

A lot of beginners Java courses may mostly teach students how to make command line Java programs and basic Java apps, so a $500 PC or laptop can be good enough for their beginners Java course.

But, users would need a faster PC to make 3D Java games like Minecraft and Runescape which were originally made with Java.
