Windows 11 can run Android apps, and run Linux within Windows 11. Hopefully, Windows does not someday become an online-only operating system where it only can run web browser programs on a website.

I forgot Linux can run on it, I wonder if it can be used to boost anti virus effects.

I think people can run Firefox Linux version of its web browser in Windows' Linux Subsystem which may offer more protection from viruses which attack Windows OS.

There are also a few Linux antivirus like ClamAV which are use to scan for viruses on e-mail and file servers.

Doesn't seem like there is much viruses in emails these days, just bad links to click on.

I think the built-in virus scanners on some e-mail servers and ISPs may remove viruses, and virus makers more easily risk getting their I.P. banned for sending viruses.

There may still be many viruses which are hidden in PDF and image files which are attached to e-mails.

I've never seen a server do anything, mostly just built in antiviruses software doing its job.

I think Gmail and Outlook.com servers scans for viruses.
