I think more people are also buying GPUs to watch and edit 4K videos, and playing games in 4K on their gaming PC which is one of the reasons for causing a shortage of GPUs.

Editing and high end gaming always keeps gpu in demand. And more likely for fakes to be sold to make a profit.

I think some refurbished video cards are also sold as new without telling buyers the card is used.

That happens with a lot of PC parts, always good to buy from a local retailer to ensure you get the right parts.

I think buying from the PC part's official website would prevent people from buying used PC parts which are pretending to be new.

Even official sites can be sketchy as they try to repackage used stuff as new to recover costs.

That is true. I imagine some of the lesser known brands of RAM and USB flash drives may sell used products as new
