I heard the latest Raspberry Pi 4 is faster, so a Raspberry Pi 4 router maybe faster than most routers sold at computer stores.

I think many routers may still be using older CPUs and less RAM.

Wouldn't you need to add something to the Pi to make it give off good wireless signal and range?

I think the Raspberry Pi 4 has built-in dual-band Wi-Fi, so it could be good enough for a router for a small home.

It maybe against the law to increase the radio signals of the Raspberry Pi 4 wi-fi because it can interfere with other wireless signals from the police, fire department, and military.

I wonder if you can screw in antennas to boost the range?

I think it maybe possible. But, there are routers without long antennas which have good range and speed.

It's good for a multi room setup, once you start getting basements and upper floors you need something a bit more.

I think there are now routers which can use two or more routers to extend the signal.
