I could see companies making more paid antivirus for Linux when it becomes more popular like how there are some paid antivirus for Android, or free antivirus with paid features.

Valve's Steam Deck, Raspberry Pi, smartphones/tablets, and internet connected web cameras use Linux, so I feel Linux viruses will be more popular because a lot of devices now use Linux.
I think spyware for Linux will also grow because cyber criminals most likely want to spy on Linux users, so they can steal their passwords and usernames for websites like online banking, e-mail, and social networking profiles, and also stalk their victims, and steal their private files on their Linux PC.

I hope Vavle's steam deck comes with an AV, I'm sure some games might be infected.

Hopefully, there is also a large team of computer security workers which inspect games for viruses.

I think it would be a good idea to wait a few days before installing a newly release game. If there are any reviews saying the game contains a virus, it is a good idea to not install the game until it is proven the game is not a virus.
