liquid cooling would be great, but needs to come down in price. I wonder if the next gen will have it, or maybe pro versions?

I feel the nextgen may have liquid cooling depending on when it is released. Someday console CPU and video chips may run less hot in the future, so fans and liquid cooling may not be needed as long as your room temperature is not hot.
There are now some fanless desktop computers, so consoles maybe fanless like some fanless desktop computers.

there are fanless devices out there, but they cost a pretty penny.

That is true, some fanless Gaming PC can cost thousands of dollars.

Be nice if the price of the fanless parts go down, but we're going to have to get over this covid stuff.

I feel the price of metal also have to become cheaper, so fanless computer's metal parts like large metal hestsinks, metal pc cases, and fanless power supply with metal heatsink cost less money.
Covid is probably causing metal like gold to cost more.

Depends if the material plants were hit, but I think the price is going up due to transportation costs.
