Not sure about that, I question the really superfast chargers that are out there, or the cheap Chinese made stuff.

I heard in the past, cheaply made USB-C cables can also cause a smartphone or laptop to break, and possibly cause overheating problems.

I've heard of that as well, and for most stuff that breaks the device since most run from usb c.

I wonder if cheaper USB-C devices which don't have fast charging batteries are less likely to break from cheaply made USB-C cables which damaged more expensive devices in the past.

I would think they burn out faster due to less quality parts and battery cells.

I think the workers may also be less careful when assembling cheaper devices because they are paid less money.
