Usually chat people are first line of support that aren't very knowledgeable sadly.

I imagine it maybe difficult to find helpful staff to work in chat if the pay is low and the hours are long.

That would go for any job, I know a few AVs like Mcafee really don't give good support

It is unfortunate that McAfee could not figure out how to give good support after being sold for so many years.

Pretty sure they went down hill once its creator sold it off, even more so now that he passed away.

Hopefully, the government can convince paid antivirus to offer better support and higher virus detection, or at least lower the price if the technical support is bad.
