Newer drives like 6TB drives sometimes come with a bigger Cache like 128 MB which maybe slightly faster than 500GB drives which comes with 16MB of cache. Some newer drives maybe more reliable because the problems from previous drive generations got fixed in new versions of the drives.Skeithex wrote:Basic components really and I don't think the average person needs more than 500 GB but never hurts to have extra.
Sadly, some new drives maybe less reliable because the drive makers decided to save money by using cheaper parts like motors, and chips.
