I agree Canon printers seem very big in size.

And made of plastic, making it easier for them to break or wear out faster.

I feel the on/off buttons and other buttons on newer printers do feel more cheaply made.

Most are starting to be made without screens, making them harder to use.

Hopefully, most printers won't require people to use a mobile printer app for smartphones and tablets for some tasks like photo copying a picture because the printer does not have a copy buttons or a screen.

I imagine using mobile apps to control a printer can cause problems in the future if the app got discontinued or unpublished from the apps store.
