I wonder if some ISP owners secretly are co-owners or own stocks in VPNs and crappy antivirus companies.

I think some lowend antiviruses come with lowend VPNs.

I know Norton went through a lot to get lifelock vpn services and what not to make its brand better.

You do have to take extra steps, most just install and forget about their AV.

I imagine a lot of people usually keep re-newing the subscription Norton or McAfee which came with their PC they bought at a retail store, and also rarely use features like VPNs and secure web browsers.

I imagine the price eventually goes up by a small amount ever year, so they don't notice price increases until they spent a lot on subscriptions.
