I think some viruses maybe automatically submitted by antivirus if strange files are set to be automatically submitted to the AV company.

I do believe they send off suspicious files to be reviewed, though that process can take a while.

I wonder if the process of reviewing new viruses is still mostly done by humans. I read a story on a tech blog that AV delete good files like windows system files or web browsers. I think sometimes a AV bot made a mistake of misidentifying viruses.

I hope it's not automated, it could lead to a lot of false positives.

Hopefully, the human workers are paid fairly, and good software and computers for investigating new files for viruses, so there are less false positives.

Did look into it, looks like its a database company that many AVs make use of.

I wonder how big the database files are, and how many virus samples the database company have. I bet, the database is huge.
