I think antimalware may not add a feature to not scan certain USB since it may increase the chances of getting a virus.

yeah that is a reason I can see, but annoying features are the best usually.

I think Windows Vista had a lot of complaints because of those Pop-up windows which annoy users during software installs.

I do remember that, very annoying. That and other software has gotten better over time.

I think Windows Vista may of have fewer complaints if there were not as many pop-ups. I think Windows built-in antimalware was not as good when Vista was released.

lots of things were bad then, somewhat improved now that you just need something like malywarebytes.

I think if you used a good antivirus like Bitdefender, Spybot and SuperAntispyware , it may protect you from many viruses even if you don't use Malwarebytes.
